Chicago History Museum

Developed concepts for new visitor center facility and focus.

Developed and delivered training for front-line staff and their managers. Worked with leadership to improve visitor flow realting to special exhibition design.

Worked with leadership to improve visitor flow and operational management during Rings: Five Passions in World Art, held during the Summer International Olympics in Atlanta in 1996.

Kingman Museum

Developed and delivered workshop for board and staff as a part of their strategic planning.

Developed concepts and audited project elements for planned Museum of Creativity.

Milwaukee Art Museum

Developed and delivered workshop for board and staff covering aspects of planning for visitors. Worked with leadership to design visitor management systems prior to opening of the Quadracci Pavilion. 

Minneapolis Institute of Arts

Developed and delivered training workshop for front line staff and volunteers on visitor planning and customer service.

Ontario Science Centre

Developed and delivered workshop for staff on visitor planning. Audited visitor experience and delivered solutions for wayfinding.

Royal Ontario Museum

As a part of a respected international team of consultants, developed and delivered concepts for the board and staff for the revitalization of this world-class museum.  Team member on all aspects from architecture to programs and operations.

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

Worked with leadership to develop strategies for visitor engagement and management prior to renovations .

Ten Chimneys

Part of initial consulting team helping leadership develop concepts for public use of the Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne's summer home in Genesee Depot Wisconsin.  The National Historic Landmark home of Alfred Lunt & Lynn Fontanne is now thriving cultural destination and retreat for the performing arts.

Toledo Museum of Art

Developed and delivered workshop training for staff and volunteers on visitor services trends and customer service in museums. Audited visitor experience and delivered solutions for wayfinding.

Walker's Point Center for the Arts

Worked with museum leadership on museum planning to improve branding and audience engagement. Facilitated strategic planning.

Walters Art Museum

Developed and delivered concepts for visitor planning and management, exhibition design, and architectural planning for museum leadership prior to renovation. Audited visitor experience and delivered solutions for wayfinding.

Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo

While Executive Director at the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, conducted a complete analysis, design, and rewriting of the Chart of Accounts to improve transparency and clarity; grew successful monthly program (Art Hop) into vital contributor to community revitalization; partnered with for-profit organizations to launch a brand craft beer (Art Hops) with a portion of sales supporting the Council's programs; redesigned performance spaces to provide improved visitor engagement, and developed core coursework using visual art and improvisational theatre to teach medical students at the Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine about ambiguity, improving observational skills and bedside manner.

Grand Rapids Art Museum

While Chief Operating Officer at the Grand Rapids Art Museum, conducted a complete analysis, design, and rewriting of the Chart of Accounts to improve transparency and clarity; developed and delivered concept for the first ever partnership between a museum and a popular local television station to create the Media Arts Center.
